Hi just to remind us of summer days during the cold spell we have. Sorry about the audio but this is the fishing trawler I built a while ago - having a sail around the lake in South Shields. We didn't catch many fish that day :-)
These are under repair. They were built a couple of years ago, but didnt survive some moves. Combination of hull repairs, rebuilding of shrouds, etc. Ongoing projects.
So far so good!👍😉
Ya see, it ain't so hard after all 😉
Hard part is jigging all the parts together so they can't move.
Or stopping the last joint melting apart when you make the next.😡 To solve that I use crock clips as heat shunts between the last and the next joint. Keep it up r-h, Cheers, Doug 😎
This boat is designed around a boat I owned many years ago. The equipment is simply representative of whats available today. I only owned and used a pair of skis and a tandom ski..
Well done that man, the future of modelling rellies on us helping youngsters develop. My own grandson is already into model boats. Best wishes to both of you.
Cheers Colin.
Just have to try and get the bat boat or let him design one (loads of guns and missiles)and take it from there.both my grand kids like a play in the workshop /shed granddaughter has an affinity for glue in her hair
Another youtube offering, and also Danish as per the last video. A very neat steam engine installation of a twin cylinder slide valve, in an open hardwood boat. The three figures on board are to a very high standard and dressed very much the same as the last video. it would seem besides bacon, Denmark is the place to find one's authentic boat crew.
Both this boat and the other one you link to is done by a member of Vallensbæk Modelskibs Klub, where I'm also a member Bernhard is the local king of detailing his boats (and trucks).
Hello Tica, and very nice to make your acquaintance, and I very much appreciate your comment. I think the two video clips posted are quite incredible, and very much admire the skills of the builders and the finely detailed finish on both boats. I rather wish we had more steam enthusiasts in this country, but I am afraid it is nearly all electric motors more is the pity. Regards to yourself and Bernhard definitely the king of fine detail. Gary.
Found this on youtube and had to copy it onto here, the fine detail and the two figures in the boat are unbelievable. A standard to work up to hopefully. A pity the boat is not on the water, can't get over the incredible detail. Enjoy.
