   Like the Welsh coracle, the Irish Curragh was originally covered in animal skins, but in more recent years flannel or canvas, pitched for watertightness, has been used.

   The skin on the hull is made to look like animal hide.

   Interesting little model, I wonder if it was made by the dozen for the tourist trade as Welsh Coracle models are.
